We're Nuts About Cookies!

Squirrel's Bakery, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia was recently started by Squirrel in 2009.

Squirrel started out like many other squirrels: gathering nuts, running up and down trees and hopping around. Eventually, he left the forest for the university to broaden his horizons. Upon graduation, he spent many years in the corporate world working in various creative and marketing roles. However, Squirrel had a very special talent: baking big and hearty cookies that combined a unique blend of whole grains, high quality nuts and premium chocolate for his friends and colleagues. Later, with some encouragement and support from his closest friends, he would turn this passion into reality – Squirrel's Bakery.

Who we are:

Squirrel: Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Squirrel hops around the kitchen and office making sure there is harmony between baking and marketing. He meets with customers and vendors alike to solicit feedback and researches new ideas. Squirrel aspires to grow the bakery while maintaining the cookies distinctive handmade freshness, texture and delicious taste.

Bear Bukowski: Chief Financial Officer
Bear left his job in a prestigious finance firm to help Squirrel organize the bakery's finances and accounting practices. Although he has bearish sentiment towards most industries in this current economy, he is optimistic about the long term outlook of Squirrel's Bakery.

Kitty Bukowski: Chief Marketing Officer
Kitty decided to join her brother Bear at Squirrel's Bakery after tasting the Hawaiian cookie. She found the cookie to be "purrfect". Kitty manages business development and e-commerce. In addition to her corporate marketing expertise, she is a warm hearted cat who enjoys promoting the Squirrel's Bakery brand.

Panda Bukowski: Chief Operations Officer
Panda recently joined his two siblings to turn ideas and theory into reality. He directs kitchen and the website. He is dedicated to quality, sourcing the highest quality ingredients and making sure that day to day operations run smoothly. Although Panda is quite shy, he is not afraid to express his enthusiasm about Squirrel's Bakery.

Puppy: Public Relations
Puppy has a good nose for building rapport and sniffing out opportunities. Since everyone likes puppies, he was recruited to promote the brand through various channels such as festivals, newspapers and the press.

Tiger: Human Resources & Bookkeeping
Tiger specializes in tracking down and recruiting individuals who can help the company grow while maintaining its unique character. She claws through many applications every month to find the best staff for Squirrel's Bakery.

Squirrel (nicknamed: Flopsie): Field Sales Representative
Flopsie hops around from venue to venue explaining and selling our very delicious handmade cookie bars.  Although he is young, he has a lot of enthusiasm and passion for handmade cookies.  Flopsie also solicits feedback from customers so that we can continue to improve and diversify our products.

Squirrel Bird: Shipping and Receiving
Squirrel Bird pecks away at orders all day long while enjoying our specialty handmade cookies.  She was recruited for her ability to come up with solutions on the fly.  Squirrel bird is also exploring Twitter and Tweets for Squirrel's Bakery.
